Prior to B.E. 2518 (1975), he taught at several universities in Vietnam, and upon his relocation to the United States, he continued his academic and spiritual mission by nurturing and guiding new generations of Buddhist monks, nuns, and lay practitioners. Through his wisdom, compassion, and unwavering dedication, Most Reverend Dr. Thích Giác Đứ c became a revered teacher and guiding light to many. Among these is, Most Venerable Dr. Bodhi Bhikkhu, who regards him as his spiritual teacher. His passing is a profound loss not only to his disciples and followers but also to the wider Buddhist world.
